In this 1-hour class, neurodivergent learners will get all of the individual attention, kindness, encouragement & specific supports they need to learn many handwork skills, and work through projects designed just for them. Working with our hands in this way is invaluable for developing dexterity, flexibility, strength, focus and self-esteem. New skills are presented according to each child’s needs and ability. Steady repetition, clear instructions broken into small pieces, pre-view and review, breaks for physical movement, specific goals to meet, non-verbal instruction and genuine interest are readily available for children following an alternative path to learning.
Classes are on Tuesdays, 11am-12pm.

No experience with handwork is necessary to happily participate in this class. The only requirement is that the child wants to be there.
