Start the week with a chill afternoon working on self-designed projects using embroidery, X-stitch, knitting & crochet. All children should come with a hearty snack and a desire to hang out with friends and work steadily on a project. Maximum 12 students.

Our littlest handworkers will spend these afternoons in a cozy room with friends, and a collection of beautiful handwork supplies. Those who are ready will knit, crochet or embroider small projects under the tutelage of Miss Indigo, with help from Ms. Nicola. Maximum 11 students.

Several times each year, we offer special days for kids to spend time in the studio with supplies and help making projects of their own design. We have options on hand but they are always topped by what the kids come up with. The day includes time to make stuff, to play outside, to snuggle with Olive, and to eat snacks. With a relaxed mood and easy structure, many kids have left saying it was the best day ever.

This class leaves open the possibility of learning any or all of these three traditional skills in a class that celebrates the work of our hands in all forms. This class is about more than skills; it provides a space to relax, learn something new from an experienced teacher, or take on a bigger challenge among fellow makers.

Supplies for small projects included, ie. hats, socks, gloves, etc. Materials for larger projects can be brought or purchased in our shop.

Developing confidence using a sewing machine opens up a whole new world of creativity. Meeting every student as a beginner, this class will quickly progress to clothing design, draping and all the skills necessary to complete an original garment. While one item of clothing is created from beginning to end, skills are learned to make many projects possible.
Fridays & Sundays 11-12:30
Start any time. Classes do not need to be attended consecutively.

From plant to project, each workshop in this series will progress towards an intuitive understanding of fiber preparation, the nature of dye plants and how to work with them, methods of extracting color, indigo, botanical extracts, overdyeing and blending, eco-dyeing and starting a dye garden of your own.
Cost includes $25 supply fee.
First Saturday of each month 11am-2pm
Bring a project, start a new project, relax and enjoy the company of other makers. 2-4pm every Sunday.
