Weekly Classes for Adults
From basic hats, mittens, and slippers — to more challenging socks, gloves, and shawls, adults in this class have the opportunity to learn good basic knitting skills, and take them as far as they want to go.
Tuesdays 10:30am-12:30pm
Supplies for small projects included, ie. hats, socks, gloves, etc.
Tuesdays 10:30am-12pm
Using a collection of gorgeous plant dyed threads, felt, and natural fiber fabrics, students in this class will design their own embroidery and cross stitch projects, including stitch books, handwork kits and bags, journal covers, and framable compositions. Natural dyeing, drawing, 3-D design, and advanced color theory all come into play, while fine motor ability and attention to detail become highly refined.
Wednesdays 1:30-3pm
Supplies included.
Wednesdays 1:30-3pm
Tuesdays 6-7:30pm Fridays 11am-12:30 Sundays 11am-12:30
Learning to use a sewing machine with confidence opens up a whole new world of making beautiful, useful things. Students in this class will quickly progress from frontwards, backwards and zigzag, to buttonholes, zippers and 3-D forms. Building on that good foundation, students will design and create an item of clothing for themselves from scratch, developing advanced skills and confidence in their ability to take on increasingly challenging projects of their choice.
10 classes
Beginners are great! No need to have your own sewing machine. All materials are included except fabric for the garment.
Classes do not need to be attended weekly to keep up. Only classes attended are charged.
